HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Dear all

today is Halloween but sadly for me, I have classes to teach tonite so...; however, I already spent last Sunday @ a Halloween party with joys and dirts :), though it was not well-organized but it's ok anyway. The party was held in YOUTH CULTURAL HOUSE by YOUTH ENGISH SPEAKING CLUB with the entrance price is 40.000vnd (ac..ac..) anway, thank to Ms.Hanh, I got enter for free , haha. All needed to wear costumes and masks, many did so well, like the pic below, so scared, rite? and it's...me, hehe:)

this is Quan, one of my old fris who I haven't seen for long time coz he had to go on military service:(, as usual, he came to the stage and was applauded with his sexy dancing style, a "so-caleled" pole-dacning

The program was continued with a short comedy, catwalk performance and some..games, nothing much, but the dirt fell to us (bot mi or sthg like that --> gru..gru..gru)

And here is another pic of mine, enjoy the show:

Even some kids accompanied by their parents made an impression to me with their disguise style, either angel or evil:)

The show ended by a hiphop dancing contest and too much games which made us overdozed. anway, happy hallowee my firs and wish u a nightmare tonite:)

TU DUC TOMB...

On the way to Tu Duc Tomb by motobike OM, I stopped at an incense stick-making villlage to be "chem chat" by the sellers there, can't believe that an incense fan , they "shouted" with the price 100.000vnd while it's just 30.000vnd according to the seller near Huong river whom I met when I came back to the city centre that night; oh my god, even the 3-in-1 bag they asked for 50.000, I bargained and got it with 20.000 discount but it's just 15.000 vnd as I saw the price in the shop near Huogng river (and then, in Hoinan, it;s just 10.000 for that kind of bag with the same size, sand type, huhu

TU DUC TOMB

TU DUC TOMB is the biggest tomb of all according to the info provided by the tour guide (ah,by the way, during this tour we were inducted all by English but hardly for me to understand what he said coz he seaks Eng. not even with Hue accent but Quang Nam --> ppor me!!! even the 5 foreingers go along with us had to "BO TAY!!" and hang around while the tour guide kept speaking and speaking, noticed that, he changed to vietnamese which seems to be better for all, hichic

What I like most in Tu Duc tomb is..this when I become a 5-second-long KING,hehe (which a price of 30.000,huhu); anyway, Do I have a KING style, "my people",khakha

Well, there are thounsands of things here to watch, enjoy and take pixs but due to the limitation of time (45m only to visit each tomb which I took almost half an hour for taking pix with the King costume so...); anway, 15m left enough for me to do a pix slideshow, so enjoy my fris

.

And this is the pix I love most, hehe, very HUE pix

HUE CITADEL KY SU-PART 3:) THIEN MU PAGODA

Hi my blog buddies,

Here comes my 3rd part of my HUE trip "dead" report (coz I come back to HCMC for nearly one month so it's no more "LIVE").For the 3rd day in Hue,as planned, I took a boat trip on HUONG river with a hope that it would be no more rain . I walked up quite soon and was at the riverbank at 8h after having BUN BO HUE at the street nearby.

From what I read on the leaflet, the trip is abt 5 hours which goes through a fishing village, Thiem Mu pagoda, Hon Chen Temple, Tu Duc, Khai Dinh and Minh Mang Tomb , well, it's quite interesting with such a so cheap price of 40.000VND.But, in fact, it's neither that cheap nor that interesting. At each tomb we visited, we had to pay for our own entrance ticket which is 30.000/one ticket (ac ac),even at hon Chen Temple where there's nothing to enjoy --> it took us 15.000VND , furthermore, to get reach to each Tu Duc and Khai Dinh Tomb we had to rent a motobike "OM" for 20.000 per each time, so it's roughly >200.000VND for this "marvelous" tour. That's why there are some of us deciding not to visit some of the tourism points to save money (but to me,with PLAYFUL spirit, I dare not leave any places out of my walking journey, hehe)

--> Here is what the tour guide called the fishing village and we just needed 5 minutes to visit this palce with no stop coz...nothing to see...

then it took us 30m to go to THIEN MU Pagoda on PERFUME RIVER, well, not like the name it got, the smell from Huong River is not that sweet, vice versa, it smells badly, but what I enjoyed travelling on this river is its peaceful atmosphere and lovely view on both river sides, esp. the colorof water keeps changing from blue at the down part (thks to a special kind of water-plant here) to the brown of alluvial soil. On this river, there are few people worikng as fishermen but " sandmen" instead coz during my trip, I saw at least 7 or 8 boats pulled up sands from the river bottom illegally of course and this may cause worse and worse flood year after year to this lovely small city.

Above are some other pics in THIEN MU pagoda wiht a cool sepia pix of me standign next to... something "unknown"

This car was driven by THIEN SU THICH QUANG DUC in the time of monk demonstration against French colony during Vietnam war; after that he burnt himself at CMT8 - NgDinhChieu street corner and now theree's a monumewnt to dedicate him at that very place.

cute monks --> i wonder how they can study when there's thousands of visitors coming to Thiem Mu everyday to take pixs of them

INTEPRETER FOR UK EDU EXHIBITION :)

As last year, i worked as an intepreter for Uni. of Stirling (Scotland) in the UK EDU EXHIBITION 2007 which takes place during this weekend @ EQUATORIAL HOTEL with the representatives from 50 Unis and colleges from all over UK.well, this year with less schools, less time, less visitors (but wage is the same, hehe) ; so it's quite boring (so my main task is chatting with the school representative ). Here comes some lovely pics:

The guy on my left hand said that he is Harry Potter but his first look made me think he may be Professor Snape, and then the guy on my right hand was dressed as ROBIN HOOD (as he explained) but in fact he looks like Hermione much more
