SONTRA PENINSULA

Dear my blog buddies, during my stay in Danang, as an "uneasy to stay still" man, I can't stop travelling around though sometimes dunno where I should go:). There' re not many tourism attractions in Danang (actually it has but due to blah blah blah reasons), the potential of tourism in this small but lovely city is, how to say..., is still potential,hehe:). SONTRA Peninsula is another good example. I've been here twice coz it has a marvelous look to all Danang area but not so many resorts and tourists here coz as far as I know, there's no way to go around this peninsula and come back to the city , the only way to come back is..the way u get in which may make the trip a little bit boring (now the roundabout way is under construction)

On the way to SONTRA peninsula, you may have chance to have a look at a small fishing village nearby with a particular "fish smell" when u go thru that make u cannot help stopping by:)

The first time I went there is late afternoon and a rain is coming; even worse, my "shit" motobike' tyres were flat (both of them) --> so scared that I maynot get out of this place before the daydoom. But luckily enough, I stopped by at PHUOGN DONG resort and thank to the kind guard, I can have my tyre fixed though it's a little bit expensive

PHUONG DONG Resort is lovely but cannot compare to this BUDDHA BAY resort. Staying here and having coffere is great but I didnot, actually, I just paid 2000VND for my motobike parking then come in to...take pics:),hehe.

I left Sontra around 5pm under a heavy rain and a fear inside that my tyre would be flat again .

The second time I came here was much more fun when I travelled with 2 sisters-by-chance I met in HUE (this unexpected meeting story will be narrated later in HUE CITADEL KYSU - part 2:). We came to BUDDHA BAY RESORT and take a rest, but suddenly, there came 4 waiters and waitresses came near our place to...play cards so we asked to joined in. Holy God!!! This is the 1st time I played cards in such an unexpected situation like this (I mean, it;s so funny when u play cards with a lovely beach view nearby), even luckilier, we were invited to enjoy "CHAO HEN" with them and no need to pay money. As I told u before, DANANG citizens are so hospitable and lovely (it's so weird that I couldn;t find out these positive personalties in Ms.Tien Katie though she's also Danangian ,hehe, i'm kidding Tien, don't take it seriously.

HUE CITADEL KY SU (1)

12:00am: arrived at HUE

First impression??? Impressed (sure) and…disappointed (what???)

coz Hue is amazingly beautiful but also being interfered too much by modernization day after day, bit by bit…and unfortunately, they go along with each other.

Here are some instances:

TU CAM THANH

à I’m so impressed by how big it is how ancient it still is…But then, it is surrounded by too many shops and restaurants. The surrounding streets also allow motobikes to run through… At night, the view is absolutely dark à nothing to enjoy!!!

HUONG RIVER

à so green and so peaceful, but since the day they built up DAP DA (STONE BARRAGE) à The rest of it is stucked by rubbish and stuff…

DAN NAM GIAO

à A beautiful place but have been destroyed by the gov at that time to build a patriotic martyr’s cemetery???

BEN NGU

à used to be a crowded wet market in the ancient time, now, it’s still a market but near a dirty river with bunches of rubbishL.

Ok, that’s all for the first afternoon I stayed with Hue, I enjoyed it so far, esp, these pics which I took at 5pm when the HUE girl-students got out of QUOC HOC HUE high school (we all know that HUE is famous for its charming girls and yes, that’s what I can guarantee, heheJ)]

In the evening, I enjoyed Com chay at Bo De Quan (actually, it’s MI XAO DON U à delicious enoughJ) and spent one hour and a half at SERENADE live music bar à the singers here are not worse than singers in Saigon at all, moreover, the drink price is not so expensive as in Saigon. J

The next morning I woke up soon enough to go to THUAN AN beach.

Unfortunately, the sea is so rough today (never did I see such a rough sea like this,so scared) then, there’ s no one there except me and…cua cong ( hehe, I enjoyed staying still and watched them running out of the holesJ)

. On the way back, I went around “THON” VI DA à no actually, there’s no more things can be called VI DA THON due to the modernization (damn it!!), except for the coffee shop VI DA XUA J

Here is the specialty drink of it: COFFEE VI DA XUA (with coffee + ice + milk + sugar + … rice wine??) à anyway it tastes very good esp. when u stayed alone J.

So that’s all up to now at the time I’m staying in this cyber net to write this blog while it’s raining like cats and dogs outside (damn it, the rain destroyed all the plans I set up for this morning, but anyway, now I know why do they call “Rain in Hue can destroy soil as well as sky” (mua thoi troi thoi dat in Vietnamese,heheJ ). Ba kon than men, trg thoi gian o Danang,ban Viet bi free kha nhieu thoi gian, (thuong chi di lam buoi sang thui, the nen buoi chieu ko biet lamgi thg di choi lung tung nhu ra bien, ra ban dao Son Tra..., dac biet co 1 thu la di dao vao luc 5h chieu luc ng ta tan so lam, neu o SG thi khoang gio nay la ra duog ko co cho nhuc nhich,ket cung ngat,nhg o day lai khac, 5h chieu cung nhu 2h trua o SG,the nen di dao gio nay cung cocai thu cua no,it ra cung thay dc nhieu ng hon,giong giong SG --> less homesick:).

B kon than men,sau day la 1 so speciality cua Danang ma V da dc dip taste wa trg 2 tuan vuya wa (of course la list chua day du, se dc update sau 2 tuan tiep theo,hhee:). Lan nay xin fep dc report = tieng Viet vi co nhieu mon ko biet fai translate sang tieng Anh the nao nua

--> don gian la 2 mieng banh tran kep banh cuon o giua va chat cai bop --> gay lam doi, ko co gi dac sac nhung duoc cai co cham voi mam nem (haha,ma nhu cac ban da biet, ban V la chua ghien mam nem,hehe:) --> ok:)

Nhac toi Danang,ko the ko nhac den hai san (bien ma,hhee), va vi gan bien nen hai san o day kha re,nhat la cac wan tren duong den bien Pham Van Dong (hom do vi thay nh mon la wa, keu cho co vo an ko het,moi cai cham co 1 mieng -->phung phi wa)

--> Day la mon CHIP CHIP, tuong tu nhu ngheu, nghe noi chi co o Danang,ngon lam a nghen,minh tui choi het nguyen noi do:)

-> con day la mon Ca duoi, e hem,ngon wa,nhung vi dc canh giac la duoi ca duoi co doc nen chi dam, an fan than:)

Xin gioi thieu mon an co 1 ko 2 o Danang, banh trang kep kho bo, rat hap dan,chi co 2 wan duy nhat tren duong Ly Thuong Kiet, ban nao co muon tast ko, dang ky nhe, ban Viet bua cuoi se ra do mua ve cho:)
