DA NANG KY SU part 3- UNILEVER SALES FIELD TRIP:)

Aug 10th is nothing much. It's Monday so I need to go to U's sales office to see my coach to be inducted and then, in the afternoon, I met with my 2nd coach at the distributor office. FYI, during this month, I was on sales field trip (not only travelling and enjoying lah!!! I was asked to come to DN to observe the sales routine in DN city. I would act as a "so-called" supervisor to follow some salesman to see how the U's products are distributed to the customers (like independent stores, convenience stores, wet markets, .... I thik this sales trip did a good impact on me,as we are expected to know more of sales runnning, so when we start our work as marketeers, we can have an insight full to balance b/w the "bittersweet" fact of sales and the "flying without...brakes" of marketing. In fact, from what I observed, the work of salesmen are quite hard and tough coz sometimes they need to pay back their own money for some small mistakes they make (like distributing or ordering wrong prducts or wrong sizes,...) even though their salary is not high. On Wed, i spent all the morning to go with a saleswoman to go to "at least" 10 stores in a "world-ended"area near HAI VAN moutain foot . we went in the tooo hot sunshine but she said it's normal to her and this hot weather is not the hottest in the year!!!

In U, we also have some kind of "TRY & TRUST" stores which only displays U's products in their first door. In return, they get a definite amount of money per each month.

On Thursday, I went with a spiderweb salesman who is in charge of the wholesalers in one area (wholesaler-customers of U are those stores with a buying of >10m VND per month and of course, they will be treated with some added benefits:)

DA NANG KY SU part 2- NGU HANH SON

Hi guys, girls , gays:)

I'm coming back for some updates on my second day in DANANG (though it's one week over already, hahaha:). Well. on the second day in this little town, I spent one hour enjoying the seabathing...with no waves to jump and no shells to catch (Ms.Tien!!, as a Danang citizen, could u tell me why there's no shells here - It made me think that this beach is somekind of artificial, but to be honest, the sea is so beautiful with a dark blue water and esp: "no rubbish" (far different from Vung Tau). then, it took me one hour to go to NGU HANH SON by motobike.

The first impression is...."so dissapointed" coz the "so-called" NHS,in fact, are 5 little mini-mount, or may I call in VNese "go". It's only Thuy Son have sthg to enjoy...and spend money (coz we all know that NHS is famous for its "da my nghe" by "NON NUOC working village" nearby, so I was cruelly "cheo keo, moi goi" to buy some:)

There are 3 pagodas and 5 mini-caves as the tourism points within Thuy Son (in fact, all the 5 caves are another kind of "pagoda" since all the caves have Buddha statues and "donation boxes":)

The first pagoda did a good impression on me with the statues of "18 Arhant (LA HAN)", but as I counted, there was not enough.

DANANG KY SU - part 1 !!!!

Hey my blog buddies

I come back, sooner than I expected coz before my departed dayI just thoughtthat : i was gonna have a very busy trip and no time to write blog, but it's not, heheh, in fact I even don't know what should I do during these days coz i've quite a lot of free time. my time for work is very flexible (I went here on Sat but just started work today, Wed and just need to go to work in the mornings (heheh), it will be very great if there are a lot of recreation/ entertainment places here in DANANG, but sadly, it's not, DANANG was somekind of a small city, abt 1/2 compared to HCMC area, from the city centre (i still wonder where the city centrre is coz no place is really crowded or liveful...) to the sea is only 5-minute by motobike.. so DANANG people seem not so excited of seabathing (moreover, there's no waves in the sea coz DANANG was located in a peaceful bay...:'( ). We just needed to spend the first 2 days to see all around DN. SO, now, we set up another plan for al the free weekends we have for some trips to HUE, HOIAN, MYSON, BACHMA, BANA and so on... (oh my god, I never expect that I can have quite a lot of free time like now on this "so-called" business trip

So interested to see TAN BEO - TAN BO here on the same plane with me - they said they go to DN for a show. Catch time to take a pic with them then, heheh!!!

At the 1st nite, we went around DN, enjoyed seafood (in fact we eat seafood almost everyday coz it's quite cheap here:)

Well, as we were inducted: the 1st month in UNI NT is somewhat a honeymoon coz we just enjoyed, had fun..., and then the next month is the second honeymoon also:), but after that,... (still dunno, tell u guys later:), now is 9h45, i'm gonna fly to DANANG at noon and gonna spend one month there for the GT SALES (GT = GENERAL TRADE like WET MARKETS, INDEPENDENCE STORES...). So, my blog is gonna be covered by spider webs again. Ok, during that time let's enjoy these pics of me in case that u guys miss me so much. See ya soon!!! Nice day my blog buddies

UNILEVER MT - HONEYMOON MONTH:)

Coming back from ASEAN LOGICS on AUG 15th, then the next day I started my new "journey" wiht Unlivever right away (in fact, for the first 2 days, I didn't get along well with all coz the atmosphere and spirit of ASEAN LOGICs still haunted me so I could'nt pay attetion too much to the other things - that's why I didn't reply any SMSs from my fris and didn't want to answer any mails or calls, so once again, sorry all my fris for that). But later on, I did go well with them all, in fact, sometimes I was called "overdozed" with my jokes and games (haha). Well, this year we have 26 MTs - the highest number ever; but as the explanation of Mr.Merrant - chairman of UVN - we are chosen based on the company's capicity and our potentials so that doesn't mean "MORE QUANTITY --> LESS QUALITY". I believed it so, during the last month, I learnt many things from my MT fris,we have such a diverse personality here, some are often "overdozed" like me, hehe, some are a little bit quite but also excellent in their work. We have 7 MarketingMT, 3 from HANOI, 4 from HCM, and only me is MALE, . The highest percentage of MTs is from Foreign Trade Uni, then Eco. Uni, once again, only me from a Social Sciences uni. We have 8 MTs from HA NOI, and 1 from CANTHO, 1 from DONGNAI, this also made a really fynny and exciting group since sometimes we can;t understand some words of each other, hehe:).

1st WEEK: CO. OVERVIEW, HR & MARKETING INDUCTION

At the weekend, we have one cinema day at Diamond Plaza and then having dinner in Pizza Hut nearby.

"MUOI" - I'm waiting 4u. Come and scare me:)!!!!

WEEK 2: MARKETING INDUCTION 2nd PART (Quite long) + IT

In this week, we had a chance to visit our factory in Cu Chi. Well, so amazed to see how they make a SUNSILK shampoo bottle or P/C toothbrush.... But the most impression is the cleanness of the factory, esp. the toilet.

WEEK 3: SALES INDUCTION - SUPPLY CHAINS - FINANCE...

In order to prepare for the project "MID -AUTUMN FESTIVAL" for disadvantaged children, we had an Open House visit in dist.4. Well, how can I say, many of us couldn't help crying when we heard a DOWN child singing the song "DAU CHAM HOI". Hope that we can organize a meaningful Mid-Autumn festival for all of them:)

WEEK 4: FAREWELL

We had an Independence Day outdoor teambuilding day in BINH QUOI 2 with a lot of fun (games + buffets + gifts) and a little bit sadness (coz i lost my slippers when I crossed the monkey bridge, huhu)

The last day we had a fresh MT Introduction + Mid-Autumn Fundraising Session through the 5 floors of UVN. Well, as others' evaluation, we did a very great and successful session, esp. the auction part for the swepts (these swepts are made by the disadvantaged children in the Open House we visited last week), and the "GUINESS RECORD" for the auction is 600.000VND/ one swept belonged to the Skin Team - Markeing Dept. (well, how generous they are:). Finally, we got 12.000.000 VND for the 1st fundraising, but that's just the kick-off, we still had more 2 weeks to gain more , > 30m, I hope
